Description
BIT is a Systems Integration Company looking for a PLC Programmer to do SCADA and PLC programming for plant automation systems and equipment with mostly Allen Bradley products. We are at the forefront in the wholesale Food and Baking Industry in automation. We have developed a special software for Batch and Ingredient Lot Number Tracking for compliance with Title III of the Bioterrorism Act.

Some travel is required. There is room for advancement and growth. Training will be provided for SCADA software and related systems. Company is growing approximately 35%/year. Most companies offer a salary for this position expecting you to work 50 hours a week, but at BIT your pay is hourly with overtime paid. You'll get rewarded for any extra work or effort you put in by getting paid the overtime you worked every week! Approximately 200-240 hrs/yr OT.

Required Skills
4-5 years experience with PLC programming knowledge of AB PLC5 and 500, PanelView programming with field experience and knowledge of machinery and equipment.

Must be able to read electrical schematics and interpret process descriptions to develop programs. Must be able to develop relationships and interact with clients to determine exact requirements of systems and modifications. Must be self-motivated with a strong desire and aptitude to learn with efficiency and precision. Degree a plus but not required.
